Who We Are

Application Insight is a consulting company dedicated to understanding and improving agricultural spray application hardware and systems. We specialize in problem-solving and aim to collaborate with our clients in order to efficiently solve their problems. Our overarching goal is to use knowledge and experience to help you make the best spray applications possible. AI offers a vast range of products and services which can be customized and adapted to various environments. Our team consists of experts who have been working in the field for over 22 years. We work primarily in horticultural pesticide applications, orchard and vineyard applications, as well as grains.

Mark Ledebuhr, Application Insight

Mark Ledebuhr, Principal

Mark is a technology evangelist with a passion for helping client teams find innovative solutions that are effective and practical.

Mark has over twenty years of experience in fluid metering and spray application design. He has worked with universities, local, state, and federal governments, private corporations, and agriculturists large and small all around the world. He currently chairs the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Application systems committee, sits on the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Pesticide systems (E35) committee, is a member of American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE), and the Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA)

Nick Tipper, Application Insight

Nick Tipper, MS, PE

We are excited to have Nick on our team as of June 2019. He has deep experience in fundamental systems design, hardware-software integrations, control systems, sensors, as well as a UAV and private pilot VFR certification. Nick's farmer sensibility and cutting edge capabilities will be a welcome addition to current and future projects!

Kirby Adams, General Manager

Kirby brought nearly twenty years of management, science, and writing experience to the company in 2015. Kirby is a biologist and writer by training, and currently a bit of a jack-of-all-trades as he manages the daily activities of Application Insight’s office and operations. As the general manager, clients and partners will find Kirby to be their first point of contact at the company and an organizational collaborator on nearly every project. When he’s not busy keeping the trains running on time, Kirby is usually somewhere in the world watching birds, writing about birds, or photographing birds.
